I received an e-mail this week from our missionary in Kenya asking for our prayers for the country. As many of you know, we have a partnership with Kids Alive International and are supporters of the Nairobi office which ministers to hundreds of orphans across Kenya. Political unrest seized the country after the current President's re-election results were announced last week. We are reminded of Paul's words in 2 Timothy 2: "I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness." Chaos is the devil's handiwork, making the proclamation of the gospel of peace more difficult. May God grant wisdom to those endeavoring to bring peace, and protection to those who serve Christ in the midst of difficulty. For the best news coverage (in my opinion) go to http://www.bbc.com/.
